Reporting to the Managing and Operations Directors, the Main Objective is to lead and manage the purchasing function to sustainably purchase and acquire products and services which enhance operational efficiency, safety and environmental impact, at the optimum quality, price and time of delivery.

To undertake service and maintenance tasks under the direct supervision of an experienced mentor.

Reporting to Workshop Manager the main part of this role is to service and repair plant equipment.

To effectively lead and manage the Workshop activities so that they achieve the required ‘Standards of Quality of Service’ whilst ensuring full compliance with the appropriate Company’s Policies, Procedures and Legal requirements in particular those relating to the Environment, Health and Safety, Quality Management, HR and Transportation.

The role is to provide support and advice to the Operational Division on Technical matters in relation to the Plant and Transport fleet in order to maximise availability and manage the training and development plans of the Engineers to ensure the required level of competency is achieved.

The main purpose of the role is to clean off plant and equipment ready for hire, collect spare parts, carry out repair and maintenance work and to ensure the workshop, offices and yard are kept clean and tidy to a good standard at all times.
